Amazon assembles core team to develop AI models
Amazon.com is reportedly putting together a new team designed to work heavily on AI projects. Amazon CEO Andy Jassy will have direct focus and oversight of the team. An internal email reveals that the team, called the "S-team," consists of more than 20 executives, and that Rohit Prasad, senior vice president and chief scientist of the Alexa business, will spearhead the group and report directly to Jassy.In the email, CEO Jassy reveals that the team will become Amazon's "core team" to build Amazon's broadest large-scale language system (LLM).
