Autonomous driving not as influential as generalized AI, but no less so

A Tesla fan recently tweeted, "From a safety perspective, Tesla's fully autonomous driving software is the most important and significant software for drivers and passengers in their lives." Musk replied in the comments section, "The impact isn't as big as General AI, but it's not small." While AI has quickly become a hot topic since the release of ChatGPT last November, with OpenAI, Google, and a host of other companies accelerating the development of their own generative AI models, Musk is wary of generative AI. Musk said last month, "AI has the potential to control humans. It is very unlikely that it will destroy humanity, but it is not absolutely impossible." (Sina Tech)
